Luke - Lucas
It means: "Light-bearer"
Santoral: October 18
Saint Luke, Greek, physician and cultist, led a life of continuous adventures that led him to discover Christ, Dead and Risen during his time, but without having known Him personally. He met the Mother of God to collect directly the narratives about her Son Jesus and thus write, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Gospel of St. Luke. He also had artistic talent, so he portrayed the Virgin in a painting that we still know today as Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Little do we know about this man, who had gifts of physical healing that surprised him at every moment.
